We are taking you on a short tour above its skyline! Let’s go through some of the coolest Madrid rooftop bars with a panoramic view!

5. Dear Hotel Madrid

Our last stop is at the terrace of the Dear Hotel Madrid, in the district of Malasaña and right in front of Plaza España. We’ve chosen this spot because it fits in the more affordable range of 360-degree rooftops. Also, because it offers a not-so-typical view of Madrid, with Plaza España as the protagonist and the Parque del Oeste just behind it.

Visit this terrace for some tasty, affordable bites and a nice cocktail. And don’t forget your swimsuit! The rooftop pools are definitely a Must!

Adress

  • Gran Vía, 80

How much

  • General admission Free

When

  • Monday to Sunday 7:30 am to 2 am

4. The Generator Madrid

This bar is located on the rooftop of the Generator Madrid, run by the Generator hostel chain. Enjoy the young atmosphere of this rooftop bar, located right next to Callao—and therefore in the very city center!

Drop by this terrace any time of the day for a nice cocktail or even a breakfast starting at noon. There are parties almost every night, with DJs taking care of the music. Of course, this spot looks even better at night, so make sure to take some photos to make your friends jealous! This option is just good value: the cocktails are yummy and the prices are more than fair!

Adress

  • Calle de San Bernardo, 2

How much

  • General admission Free

When

  • Sunday to Thursday 12 pm to 1 am
  • Friday and Saturday 12 pm to 2 am

3. The Hat Madrid

Here’s another great Madrid terrace right next to Plaza Mayor. The Hat Madrid is a laidback hostel located in La Latina, super close to pretty much everything you want to see in the city center.

Enjoy some tap beer and yummy snacks in a relaxing, beautiful terrace. People are friendly and want to get to know each other—but that much we already knew about Madrid—so get ready to have fun! Obviously, the views are amazing, too.

When

  • Monday to Thursday 6 pm to 11:30 pm
  • Friday to Sunday 1 pm to 12 am

2. Room Mate Óscar Hotel

The rooftop of the Room Mate Óscar Design Hotel is one of the most popular during the summer season. Luckily, there is a sweet pool, where you’ll get a chance to refresh yourself and enjoy a pretty exclusive view of Madrid. But that will be €25 if you’re not a hotel guest.

If you don’t want to spend that much on splashing in a pool, you can also get a nice cocktail. There’s no food served though, so eat something before you go. The hotel is located in Chueca, one of the best districts in Madrid to party!

Adress:

  • Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, 12

How much

  • General admission Free

When

  • Mon, Tue and Wed 5:30 pm to 1 am
  • Thu and Fri 5:30 pm to 2 am

1. Círculo de Bellas Artes

The rooftop of the cultural center Círculo de Bellas Artes is right in the heart of Madrid, next to Plaza Cibeles and Gran Vía. This used to be a pretty plain terrace, but it has changed a lot recently. Now you can even enjoy drinks and some finger food while you take pictures of Madrid!

Pro tip: book a table at the restaurant to avoid the €4 admission fee!

Adress

  • Calle de Alcalá, 42

  • General admission 4€

  • Monday to Thursday 9 am to 12 am
  • Fridays and Saturdays 11 pm to 1 am
